  • The Georgia Film Academy is Seeking Dynamic Instructors in metro-Atlanta, Savannah and Milledgeville!

    The Georgia Film Academy (GFA) is seeking dynamic professionals to join our Adjunct Instructor team for Spring Semester 2025 to teach our Introduction to Film/TV Production, Post-Production/Avid Pro Tools, Set Construction and Design and Digital Entertainment/Esports courses. This is an opportunity for industry professionals to train students to become part of Georgia’s fast-growing, highly skilled film and television workforce. The GFA will provide a specific course outline/structure, materials, training, and mentoring. The classes will be facilitated with a package of professional-level equipment and taught in an appropriate industry hub location with classroom and demonstration space.

  • Set Construction and Production Design Instructor

    The Georgia Film Academy (GFA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Set Construction and Production Design Instructor to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional with a deep background in Production Design and Art Department work who is passionate about educating the next generation of film and television makers. The instructor will teach Set Construction and Production Design courses, providing hands-on training to students preparing them for a career in the film industry. Instructors needed in Savannah, GA for Spring Semester 2025!


    Experience:
    10+ years of professional Film & Television on-set production experience, with a focus on Set Construction, Production Design, and Art Department work. Union productions preferred. 
    •    Proficiency in being able to teach a wide range of skills including carpentry, painting, sculpting, tool use, and overall set construction.
    Bachelor's degree in the qualifying field and ten or more years widely recognized industry work experience on professional Feature Film/TV sets, OR a combination of:
       • Significant recognized experience in the film industry (ten or more years) related to course content.
       • Specialized training in course content.
    Teaching experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Introduction to Sound Design with Avid Pro-Tools Instructor

    The Georgia Film Academy is seeking an experienced Post Production professional to teach the GFA Introduction to Sound Design with Avid Pro-Tools course. This class provides students with a broad understanding of Avid Pro-Tools and the processes and protocols, utilized within the film, television and new media industries. Students learn Avid Pro-Tools software with opportunities to utilize these skills in class projects.

    Experience:

    10+ years of experience in post-production. Expertise in the operation of various professional non-linear editing systems, such as Premiere, Avid Media Composer, Avid Pro Tools, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc., with a focus on practical skills and essential knowledge of editing.

    Bachelor's degree in the qualifying field and ten or more years widely recognized industry work experience on professional Feature Film/TV, OR a combination of:

        • Significant recognized experience in the post-production (ten or more years) related to course content.

        • Specialized training in course content.

  • Introduction to Film & Television Production Instructor

    The Georgia Film Academy is seeking a film production professional to deliver curriculum at the undergraduate level to students interested in launching a career in film and television production. The course includes study of on-set production crafts such as: Grip, Electric, Lighting, Camera, Sound, Art Department, Wardrobe, Locations and more. As an instructor, you serve as a guide to translate set etiquette, terminology and protocols to students in a way that makes it become a second language and prepares them for success in the industry. Instructors needed this Spring in Milledgeville!

    Experience:

    10+ years of Film & Television on-set production experience. Union productions preferred.

    Bachelor's degree in the qualifying field and ten or more years widely recognized industry work experience on professional Feature Film/TV sets, OR a combination of:

  • Digital Entertainment, Esports and Game Development Instructor

    The Georgia Film Academy is seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our team of adjunct instructors to teach courses in Digital Entertainment, Esports and Game Development. These classes focus on live event production and management, hosting, casting (both play-by-play and color commentary), and control room roles for live and remote events. The courses utilize esports as the teaching medium and leverage existing relationships with Georgia's robust collegiate esports network to provide real, live-streamed experiences produced by students.

    Experience:

    10+ years of Preferably across various game titles.

    Bachelor's degree in the qualifying field and ten or more years widely recognized industry work experience on professional Feature Film/TV sets, OR a combination of:

         • Significant recognized experience in the film industry (ten or more years) related to course content.

         • Specialized training in course content.

    Demonstrated knowledge of vMix broadcasting software.

    Previous experience with broadcasting equipment including cameras, lights, and switchers is a plus, but not a requirement.
